What is a Studienkolleg and what does the Feststellungsprüfung look like?

Studienkollegs (preparatory colleges) are institutions in which young people with a international school-leaving certificate prepare themselves for studying in Germany.

The courses at the Studienkolleg last two semesters. During this time, the students (they are correctly called "Kollegiaten" in German) learn the German language and its application in the respective academic subject, the subjects of the chosen specialization course and the social skills to lead a life in Germany.

In particular, the Studienkolleg prepares you for studying at a university. The visit to the Studienkolleg also included study advice, help with applying to universities, explanation of examination regulations, examination training and help with dealing with the German authorities.

At the end of the Studienkolleg, the participants are very well prepared for studying in Germany. In order to certify this, the so-called Feststellungsprüfung (assessment test) is carried out at the end of the second semester. The Feststellungsprüfung includes written exams in two examination subjects of the main course and oral exams.

We offer three core courses: M Course, T Course and W Course. Click on the respective courses to learn more about their content!
